St Jago Online herein referred to as JOL refers to the online presence of the distinct parties which make up the St Jago High School Family. These distinct parties include but are not limited to the High School, Parents Teachers Association, the Past Students Associations and the Alumni Associations.

Some of these parties have additional policies specific to their operations. These policies deal with central issues mainly covering website content, correspondences and email.

The St Jago Online Website Overview Committee (also referred to as Web team and Website Overview Committee) reffers to those individuals from the distinct parties who determine the appropriateness, relevance and organization of content, and those who prepare, publish and modify the content. The de facto head of this committee is therefore the webmaster. All communication officers from the distinct parties are ex parte members of this committee. The committee also has several other persons appointed to facilitate the objective of the JOL project. In keeping with the integration and development objectives the committee also has a student based sub committee.

Responsibility

St Jago Online Website Overview Committee is solely responsible for the JOL websites. Readers / visitors to the site (hereinafter referred to as users) should verify any information obtained from this site before acting upon it.

The Web Team reserves the right to make such changes as are necessary. No claims can be made with regard to the information, the texts and their topicality, contained on this site or any site that may be accessed through the JOL websites, except where such information is provided on an individual level though certified correspondence.

Email and Message

We do not support spam or bulk messaging of unsolicited information. Under no circumstance are your email address(es) collectively or individually published to or shared with anyone or any entity outside of the St Jago Family. They are only shared inside the family with your consent.

JOL sends out periodic newsletters via email. These emails come from . You may also receive system maintenance messages from . If you subscribe to any of our mailing list you may receive messages from , on special occasion we allow the communication officers of St Jago Association to send messages to mailing lists. Further JOL provides personal accounts to support staff, employees and past students these persons do not send message on behalf of JOL. The messages they send are of a personal nature or coincident with their responsibilities in their organization/post.

You can resubscribe at any later date by going to the JOIN MAILING LISTS (non-memeber) page or MAILING LISTS options for members.

Dealing with Unsolicited Mail

If you are receiving messages that you do NOT want you should first try to de-enlist from the mailing list that causes it (see unsubscribing above).

If you feel you have been a victim of spam or abuse from any account on this domain you may make a general report tot he Web Team via the Contact Us page or you can send the a message to including the message or messages that you are reporting (header informaiton included). This will better help us to handle your claim.

Blacklisting

We maintain a list of email addresses to which we do or will not send emails. This is generally a security measure. The addresses on this list are put there for one of two reasons

At the request of the owner (or through a message sent from that address). This is usually justified by the email receiving numerous unsolicited emails.
The JOL team may place an email address on the black list if we receive continuous reports of messages being sent to that address automatically when all other efforts to stop this spamming fails.

Email addresses can be removed from the black list at the request of the owner or after a specified period of time (usually 1 year.) We do not provide any public copies of blacklisted email address for any reason what-so-ever. Each entry is added and removed solely on an individual basis.
